We lost BERNARD CRIBBINS  a few weeks ago, one of Britain's best loved actors and comedians. Now Jasmine are releasing a CD containing all the early 60's hit singles such as HOLE IN THE GROUND  but also hard to find tracks from an album of standards he recorded as well.

From 7T's Records (distributed by Cherry Red) comes a 3-CD set featuring all of the big selling albums Alvin Stardust enjoyed with Magnet Records. The hits are here, along with bonus tracks. We'll be playing selections soon - great value.

Due for release mid-November is this set from Cherry Red Records featuring hand to find 60s and 70s soul classics. Included here is Marlena Shaw's first single in 1966 - and many others finding their way onto CD for the first time. We'll be playing tracks very soon.

All of our programmes are produced on a free-to-air basis. The programme information above excludes dozens of other stations that also broadcast our programmes, without any formal agreement. Same address please for enquiries about RADIO OUTREACH.

I have been in the media business now for more than 55 years starting out with local newspapers in Surrey and then Record Mirror and Music Week, part of the Billboard group. I then joined Pye Records/ATV and Stoll-Moss Theatres at the end of the 60’s. In 1971 I moved to BBC Radios 1 & 2 in the early 70’s and then worked for Radio Luxembourg/Atlantic 252 in a management capacity and then ran local commercial stations in Glasgow, London and the Isles of Man and Lewis. My programme is currently broadcast by a mix of FM and internet stations and I am now Chairman of Isles FM, a Director of Beverley FM and a Board consultant to another station. In 2002 we had a world exclusive on Frank Sinatra on Isles FM - see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/1790935.stm
